Politics & Ideas (P&I) is a joint initiative of researchers and practitioners to co-produce and share innovative knowledge and support evidence-informed public policies in developing countries.
Our drive is to contribute to an emerging culture of production and use of knowledge so that policies can be better informed, believing that the evolution in our field requires a collective effort to co-create new practices and approaches.
We are interested in discovering news ways to work with those interested in strengthening the dialogue between knowledge and policy, with those who dare to develop new perspectives and approaches that stem from real contexts and situations.
We are committed to contribute to an emerging culture of production of knowledge so that policies can be better informed, but also believe that the evolution in our field requires a collective effort to co-create new practices and approaches. Thus, we work as a horizontal network and partner with other organisations and persons who are open to collaboration and exchange.
We do not have cookie cutter solutions nor approaches. Our projects and activities have been born through an attitude of continuous exploration and conversation to detect emergent patterns and where we can bring more value: thus, we work both with researchers and policymakers and with a strong emphasis on the relationships among them and other type of institutions as well. The eco-system requires an increasing integral approach to the link between research and policy.
